“This is a very competitive industry so we all need to work hard in order to get up there. Sammy Lazio advised all up and coming artistes to take their craft seriously if they intend to make headway. They think you are an up and coming artiste and won’t do anything to boost their career,” he explained. “Some even agree to do the collaboration but when the time comes to go to the studios, they don’t show up and this is very sad. “The only challenge I have now is that when you want to do collaborations with some of these top artistes they turn you down because they think you are new and do not bring anything to bear on their brand. Talking of collaborations, Sammy Lazio mentioned one major challenge he has had.

“I have a lot of collaborations coming up this year so people should watch out for them and know that Sammy Lazio has a lot of good stuff coming the way of Ghanaians,” he stated. He hinted that he has a collaboration with rapper Yaa Pono which will be released very soon. In December last year, Sammy Lazio released a Gospel song titled 'Oluwa' which is receiving appreciable airplay on the airwaves and he is hopeful 'Be Mine' will do great as well. He disclosed that the video for 'Be Mine' has been shot and is currently on the editing bench and will be released soon. I will urge everyone to go listen to it because they will be glad they did,” he said. “'Be Mine' is a very nice song and anyone who listens to it will simply fall in love with it.
